BAROLO CASTELLO RISERVA DOCG 1999

GRAPES: 100% Nebbiolo

Made separately from a careful selection of Nebbiolo grapes grown in the "Castello" vineyards in Grinzane Cavour, once owned by Camillo Benso di Cavour and now owned and cultavated by the prestigious "Umberto I" Winemaking School of Alba.

CHARACTER: Superb wine with silky tannins and lots of ripe fruits. Full and rounded body  with a dense palate and a long finish. SUGGESTED FOOD MATCHING: High profile meats and seasoned cheeses, game and risotto.

ALCOHOL BY VOLUME: 14%

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 14 C°/ 58° F

BAROLO LA ZOLLA DOCG 2003

GRAPES: 100% Nebbiolo

AGEING: 24 months in oak casks plus at least 12 of bottle refinement. .

CHARACTER: Superb wine with silky tannins and lots of ripe fruits. Full and rounded body  with a dense palate and a long finish. SUGGESTED FOOD MATCHING: High profile meats and seasoned cheeses, game and risotto.

NEBBIOLO D'ALBA DOC 2005

GRAPES: 100% Nebbiolo

CHARACTER: Light, delicate bouquet that improves becoming more marked with ageing. Made from Nebbiolo grapes it tends to be full-bodied and tannic when young, before developing into a very well-balanced, velvety wine.

SUGGESTED FOOD MATCHING: flavorsome starters, red  meats, pasta and  cheeses.

ALCOHOL BY VOLUME: 14%

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 18 C°/ 64° F

BARBERA D'ALBA SUPERIORE DOC 2005

GRAPES: 100% Barbera

WINE-MAKING PROCESS: Controlled temperature on a submerged cap.

REFINEMENT: 12 months Slovenian oak casks

CHARACTER: An elegant and velvety wine with beautiful perfume and a mouthful of blueberries, plums and black raspberries. The wine is balanced with some tobacco and vanilla in the middle, which precedes a harmonious dry finish with just enough tannins.

SUGGESTED FOOD MATCHING: Red meats, risotto, seasoned cheeses,

DOLCETTO D'ALBA DOC 2005

GRAPES: Dolcetto

CHARACTER: Dry, medium-bodied wine with a delicate bitterish streak. A full fragrant and nicely vinous wine showing early balance SUGGESTED FOOD MATCHING: flavorsome starters, red and white meats, cheeses. It may be enjoyed exceptionally throughout the meal

GAVI LA ZOLLA DOCG 2006

GRAPES: Cortese

WINE-MAKING PROCESS: The grapes are pressed softly to extract only the best juice.

Then it is fermented very slowly, for as long as 20 days, at a controlled temperature of 18-20 C to preserve its wealth of aroma.

SUGGESTED FOOD MATCHING: Starters, fish and shellfish, sushi, soups, white meats. Perfect as a before-dinner drink.
